Latest Tomy Digital Baby Monitors

Thursday, December 23rd, 2010

Building on the overview we released on the  Tomy Baby Monitors, we have now added a few more monitors to our store. This time Tomy have released a few monitors which are even more technologically advance than the last range of digital baby monitors.

All utilising the ever-present 2.4Ghz digital frequency waveband the digital baby monitors are able to provide 100% digital privacy without compromising on any other features.

Tomy Digital Baby Monitor – SR200

The more basic model by pecking order, but certainly not from what it lacks in…this SR200 digital monitor offers a 300m range and is designed for parents who want reassurance when it comes to monitoring their baby – but also want value for money at the same time, which is possible with the SR200 – at under £50.

Tomy Digital Baby Monitor – SR325

Building upon the feature list of the SR200 this SR325 also includes a LCD display which allows the room temperature of the baby unit to be displayed and monitored as well as a useful ‘timer’ feature too – ideal for feeding times, or for medication reminders. Other features include the ability to remotely play a lullaby from the baby unit – or to use it as a nightlight for your child too which you can then activate remotely to avoid waking them up when you would otherwise enter the nursery to turn off the lights.

Tomy Digital Video Baby Monitor SRV400

Combining design and functionality has never been an easy task, but with the new digital video baby monitor from Tomy both elements work very well. The product uses a 2.4″ LCD display to allow you to see your baby clearly – but it is also possible to connect the parent unit to your PC allowing you to record, play and store baby’s movements.

Common features throughout the new range are the alarms which trigger when the unit is ‘out-of-range’ or has a ‘low battery’. A belt clip is also included on the parent units meaning a hands free monitoring device when and wherever you need it. All Tomy digital baby monitors also include the 2 year Tomy Guarantee.

Overview: Tomy Baby Monitors

There are four core products within the 2010 range of the Tomy Baby Monitors – and so we felt an overview/comparison of the different products within the range could be quite useful – so here goes…a MumStore take on Tomy Baby Monitors…

1.  Tomy Classic Baby Monitor

An analogue baby monitor which offers exceptional value for money without compromising on the features. The Tomy Classic still manages a range of 300m which is there to allow the parent unit to be used in and around the house easily. The Tomy Classic makes use of unit as a nightlight as well, giving off a cool and calming glow to comfort your child as they drift off to sleep…

2.  Tomy Digital Baby Monitor

Similar to the Tomy Classic Baby Monitor, the Tomy Digital is exactly that [...digital]! It features 120 digital channels and is secured via DECT technology which gives an interference free channel with ultimate 100% privacy. The digitial technology also boost the range to approximately 350m and the nightlight feature can be controlled remotely via the parent unit (which is a particularly useful touch).  The parent unit itself features a display to show the temperature within the nursery room and if you cannot find the parent unit there is also a ‘paging facility’ to help locate the lost parent unit.

3.  Tomy Digital Plus Baby Monitor

Building upon where the Tomy Digital left off, the Digital Plus features a base unit for the parent unit to be stood and recharged, as well as giving better sound quality for you to hear your child when they need you. It is possible for you to respond to the noises of your child and let them be comforted by hearing a voice they recognise in their room with them. The nightlight feature on the child’s unit is now featuring a multicolour light range to provide comforting colours to your baby while they are sleeping.

4.  Tomy Movement Sensor Pad

The Movement Sensor Pad has been designed to monitor the slightest movements by your baby, and to keep you alerted to what they are getting up to. It works with the new range of the Tomy Baby Monitors and although it does not work with the Tomy Classic directly, it can still be used together with the monitor simply by positioning the Classic’s baby unit within 20cm of the ‘Movement Sensor Pad Controller’ unit.

All Tomy Baby Monitors come with a 2 year warranty, and offer a great way to keep you reassured that your child is alright even when they are in a different room.
